Useful Information

Edit Text

Scoil Mhuire has a vibrant Parents’ Association which actively contributes to school life. The Parents’ Association maintains close links with the Principal and teaching staff to ensure that the children receive every support in their education.

I am glad to say that parents play an active role in our school concert by creating a high standard of costumes, applying make-up, preparing sets and ensuring that each night of the concert runs smoothly.

It is wonderful to see the parents running the library and our dedicated group of parents ensure everything is done to encourage children to enjoy reading.

No day passes in Scoil Mhuire where parents are not helping with school teams and ferrying children to and from games, not to mention the vociferous support on the side-line!

Teachers and parents share a common purpose; the best interests of the children in their care. It is an undisputed fact that parents have a hugely important role to play in their own child's education. The best education is therefore one provided in collaboration with both parents and teachers. The Principal and staff of Scoil Mhuire greatly appreciate the support of the Parents’ Association and all parents not active in the Association, to ensure that all of the children receive the best support possible.
