Last year our Student Council had the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, other Student Councils in the ERST network.
In building upon those links developed last year, yesterday, members of our Student Council travelled to Cork to hear about the work undertaken by the Student Council of Blarney Street CBS in improving their yard spaces. We were taken on a tour of all their outdoor spaces, and have come back with lots of ideas!
We then went to UCC where we had the opportunity to talk about the work of our Student Council, as well as hearing about the initiatives that have worked well in other schools.
We had a very successful day, and even bumped into the Lord Mayor of Cork on our journey!
A sincere thank you to the wonderful staff and pupils of Blarney Street CBS and CBC Preparatory School for being such great tour guides, and to Dr O'Sullivan and all in UCC for allowing us to use such a magnificent space for our meeting.
