Hurling season is always eagerly-anticipated here in Scoil Mhuire, and this year is no different!
With two senior teams representing the school in their respective Cumann na mBunscol competitions, these past few weeks we've been treated to some truly great displays of teamwork and sportsmanship.
We're incredibly proud of both panels: of the commitment they've shown; of their enthusiastic participation in training sessions; of their sporting abilities; and in their behaviour on the field of play.
While the competitive season has concluded for our second senior team, our first senior team are preparing to face Scoil Colmcille of Knocklyon in a repeat of last year's Corn Herald semi-final... Here's hoping we've the same result this time round!
A most sincere thank you to the families who've supported the teams by bringing players to matches and by cheering heartily from the sidelines, and of course an enormous thank you and congratulations to the members of staff who've been working with the team to bring them to this point. Well done, all!
